About This Item

Re-issue of this classic work on Chess. Printing date appears to be Oct. 1943. Book is in excellent condition . No marks except for a name - presumably a previous owner - neatly inscribed on the first fly-leaf page. Very little shelf wear along top and bottom of spine and at the two front cover edges. All pages are without fault: no tears, marks, foxing, etx.

Synopsis

A basic manual of chess by the master José Raul Capablanca, regarded as one of the half dozen greatest players ever. Capablanca was noted especially for his technical mastery, and in this book he explains the fundamentals as no one else could. Diagrams.
