Englewood Cliffs, NJ: Prentice-Hall, Inc., 1962. 1962 First Edition; 1962 printed on title page. NEAR FINE hardcover in GOOD dust jacket. Pages are fresh and fine - no markings, soiling or toning. Firmly bound in dark blue cloth hardcover with title stamped in silver on spine, Galamian's signature blind-stamped on front. Cover a bit crimped at spine ends, otherwise fine. Dust jacket moderately shelf-worn with light surface scuffing and edge wear. There is 3" vertical tear descending from top edge of the front jacket panel with tape repairs made to reverse side of jacket. Jacket is complete, not clipped, though price isn't printed. Jacket is in a clear, archival protector. An invaluable aid to serious students of the violin with tutelage from one of the foremost teachers of violin in the twentieth century. Black and white illustrations of both right and left hand and finger positions plus many musical examples illustrating effective use of various techniques. 8-3/4 x 11-1/2". x + 116 pages, including index.. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good.
