London J. Boydell 1781-84. Hardback, 6.5 x 5.5 inches. In quarter-bound morocco leather and pebbled cloth boards. Gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Gilt line detailing to boards. Marbled endpapers. All page edges gilt. In very good condition. Binding is later, title page is clipped and re-bound. Some rubbing to corners and ends of spine. Slight darkening to cover. Some spotting to title. Some handling marks to plates, slight darkening around edges, some with some light foxing. Else clean and tight. 32 original steel-engravings, each with title and brief description.
