Square tight and clean throughout with some mild wear to spine ends. A small area of soiling on the front board. Very attractive unclipped wrapper, ($4.50), has some mild wear to edges, tips and folds. Rear panel has a few shallow creases. an a tiny closed tear. Some surface rubbing. Still fFresh and bright. A very pretty collectible copy.

First American edition, 2nd printing, of the author’s first book, a John Smith espionage thriller filled with double agents, double crosses, double deals, later re-released as “The Spy Killer.” Sangster (1927-2011) was a noted British screenwriter, director, and author, perhaps best remembered for his scripts of Dracula and Curse of Frankenstein, the first English horror movie produced in colour, and also known for his Katy Touchfeather series featuring the seductive, lethal, and ruthless agent working as an airline stewardess as cover.
