Stated first edition with dated title page. P. 296. Gideon Fell solved the mystery of Frank Dorrance, suddenly deceased in the centre of a tennis court. Hubin, Cooper & Pike and Adey locked room title. The dust jacket is not the correct first edition Harpers jacket, but is the Grosset reprint with the same wrapper graphics from the following year. An uncommon highgrade book, unmarked and extremely clean. The jacket slightly rubbed at tips and corners but with no paper loss. 159
