Fine and clean throughout, with many gatherings still unopened. An unread copy. Original black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine and front board, which also has a circular gilt stamped illustration. The boards are clean and fresh and the corners still sharp. The gilt on the spine is dulled but the front board is still bright and fresh. Overall this is a superior copy of this scarce book, rarely found in truly fine condition. Fine internally and very good indeed outside. -- Only 2,000 copies of this first edition were printed.
