The text is illustrated with either black and white line drawings or two coloured line drawings. Green coloured boards with dark blue writing on the front panel and spine. Plain text dustwrapper, with bone coloured background and red writing on the front panel and spine. A small book published in 1950s and teaching children to read. Those of us who remember "The Wide Range" readers will recognise the illustrations within, as the author was the author of those set of books as well. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and the book corners have become rubbed and frayed.
