Macrosiphonis longiflora or the flannel flower is so named for its woolly petals. Painted at Casa Branca, Brazil. The bottom card (red deckle) is a full lower image; the top left image (plain deckle) and the top right image (green deckle) have a marbled background from the same one-of a kind sheet. In addition to her botanical and landscape paintings, North traveled extensively, wrote and created the gallery for her works. Bullock is a multimedia artisan, bookbinder who also makes and marbles paper, and the brain child of the blank notecards from salvaged book illustrations which she has been creating since 1998.
