The author travels throughout Egypt living and travelling with natives, visiting tombs and temples far from the tourist track, sought information from the best authorities, visited modern irrigation works, and got together one of the best collections of historical scarabs. 288 pages and 16 pages of adverts with over 250 illustrations. Book in good condition with binding showing inside front and back covers but all intact, previous owners sticker inside front cover and signature on front endpaper, some foxing front and back endpapers, minor foxing to margins of lead up pages, first fifteen pages and about five other pages. Cover has splits along spine, fading to spine and some wear (see photo). Text and illustrations fine.
