Book of satirical verse "inspired by the then somewhat heated discussions in our [meeting...] on the subjects of Music and the condition of the Society Schools," with portraits of 19th-century Friends captioned by their Romanised satirical names and their actual names. INSCRIBED by author to clerk of New York Yearly Meeting. Green cloth with gilt-stamped line border, large 12mo (18 cm), vi, 160 pp including portrait plates. Very Good: corners and spine rubbed, small spots on endpapers, no internal markings.
