Stein and Day, 1976. 1st American. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Hardcover. Clean black cloth boards with title on spine. Gift inscription on second illustrated endpaper. Text is clean and crisp, binding is tight. Very nice photo illustrated dust jacket shows minor edgewear chipping. A few closed tears, light soil and scuffing. Spine slightly sun faded. Very nice in protective mylar. Tracing with words, photographs and contemporary drawings the stories of the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mary, and their competitors on the North Atlantic run, evoking the atmosphere of the grand saloon and chronicling the social history of the lifestyle that is now just a nostalgic memory.
