About This Item
This is a First Edition of The Quest Forlorn, by the British author Cyril Hughes Hartmann.
It's now rare—first editions of this book are hard to find.
It details the 1745 Scottish Rebellion against the English, led by Charles Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie).
I haven't read it but I'm told it's an excellent book.
Published by Heinemann 1952.
Plain red boards with bright gold lettering on the spine. It has bits of shelf-wear and the spine is loosening a little in a couple of places. It contains several black and white illustrations of the key players.
Overall, it's in very good condition.
