This truly terrific book about Benedict Arnold's army coming back from the loss at Quebec is all based on many diaries but has some fictional characters that progress through its pages and allow the reader to understand the hardships that the army endured and what a genius Benedict Arnold really was before his betrayal. This copy's exterior has slight wearing on all four corners and at the top and bottom edges of the spine along with a few worn marks on the front cover. The interior book has a former owner's name at the top of the first page in from the cover and a verticle stain along the spine on a page after the last page advertising another of the author's books, but outside of those, has no other visible extraneous markings and thus for its age, the book is in a very well preserved condition with good clear and readable print, full-color images of some of its characters.
