About This Item

New York: Minton, Balch & Company, 1929. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo. 278 pages, indexed. SIGNED by the author on the half title just beneath the title. Hardcover bound in black cloth and with a blue paper label on the front cover and a tan paper label on the spine. The binding is rubbed and worn, and the corners are bumped, especially the top corner of the rear cover. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. Text is a little musty. Additionally signedd on the half title by a former owner. Gerald White Johnson (1890-1980) was a writer and historian originally from Riverton, North Carolina. He graduated from Wake Forest College in 1910 and was the first professor of Journalism at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Since 1996 we have been serving the Triad community as well as customers from around the world. We have around 15-20,000 volumes in our shop. We specialize in North Carolina, Virginia, Civil War, Old Leather, Christianity, Eastern and Western Philosophies, and the simply unusual. We very likely have the oldest books in Greensboro; we keep a nice selection of antiquarian volumes and scholarly books.
