Inscriptions read, 'To Meg and Robert Ranulph/from Ranulph Bye/Oct 4 1980' and 'Every good wish to you in our inspiring England/which I love dearly/Margaret Bye Richie'. Profusely illustrated with the artwork of Ranulph Bye and photographs. Ranulph Bye (1916-2003) was an American painter and writer. Margaret Bye Richie (1913-2013), sister of Ranulph, was a writer. The artist displays his mastery of the watercolour medium, while contributing an important record of historic and nostalgic classics of Victorian architecture. With Glossary, Bibliography and Index. Some light spotting and dusting to top-edge; d/w has a few short edge tears (longest 9mm); d/w has some spotting and dusting; there is a non-authorial inscription to front endpaper; else a very good plus copy, in a very good copy, of a SCARCE first edition, first printing SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR AND ARTIST..
