Early biography of the Texas politician (1793-1863), in 489 pages with Index, detailed noted & references. Orig. published in 1929, this edition was printed by Braunworth & Co., Book Manufacturers, of Brooklyn, NY, & there is no First Edition statement. Hardcover book has rust-colored cloth over boards with slightly rubbed & faded gilt lettering & design to spine. Condition is downgraded to Good due to the dampstain to the bottom outer corner of front board, & to a lesser extent, same corner of back boards, which has bled onto the endpapers. Does NOT impact text. Otherwise, very, clean, binding straight & strong, pages off-white with mild tanning around all edges, commensurate with age.
