Sir Oliver Lodge (1851-1940) was a physicist and inventor. He is remembered for his studies in psychical research and spiritualism. After his son Raymond was killed in World War One in 1915, he visited a number of mediums and wrote about the experiences in this book. Lodge was convinced that his son had communicated with him and the book is a description of his son's experiences in the spirit world. Lodge was a friend of Arthur Conan Doyle who also lost a son in the War and was a spiritualist. With Index.
