Inc, 1967. 8vo size hardcover with illustrated dust jacket; 194 pages with full page black and white illustrations and illustrated endpapers (and jacket) by Tasha Tudor. From jacket: "Plupy Shute's "Diry" makes up in wit all that it lacks in spelling. It is also an authentic chronicle of a boy's world a century ago... In the winter of 1901-02... Judge Henry A. Shute unearthed a (number of childhood treasures) among them a manuscript marked "Diry"...written when he was an 11 year old boy growing up in the 1860s in Exeter, New Hampshire." This is a First Edition Thus, reissued with Tasha Tudor illustrations, but it is not a true First Edition. The book was first published in 1902. The author has been referred to as "one of the great American humorists." Ex-library with typical treatments; jacket is covered with mylar. We note only tape transfer marks on endpapers and a fingermark on outside pages. One of the illustration pages is lightly creased. . First Thus. Hard Cover. Good/Good. Illus. by Tudor, Tasha. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
