Montreal: John Lovell & Son, Limited, 1913 Book. Illus. by Photos and Drawings. Good Plus to Very Good. Hardcover. Reprint. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Original brown cloth lettered in gold on boards. Ink spots on spine. Previous owner's name. Gives the feeling of an autobiography rather than a report on the war, since more than the latter half is given to activities after returning to Nova Scotia. Nevertheless, both parts of the account have historical merit, and should be of worth to students of the Crimean War as well as to those interested in Nova Scotia's history. Hunters and fishermen should enjoy the last half especially. 309 pp..
