London : Longmans, Green & Co, 1909 A good to very good copy in original red decorative cloth binding with gilt pictures to front board and spine. Decorative endpapers and gilt edges to pages. With 8 colour plates and numerous black and white illustrations as called for. A Longman's advert is bound at the front. The binding is bright and clean with a bright gilt front board and slightly faded spine. The spine has a small mark in the middle and the back board has a small mark. The spine has light pulling and the corners are lightly bumped. The decorative endpapers are clean with some repair at the front endpaper joint. There is the stamp of Preston Lodge to the reverse of the fep and an ink 'No 9'. The contents are in very good clean condition with just the occasional light spot or mark.
