In brick red color cloth boards with titles in black type on cover and spine. Appears unread, pages are clean, bright, unmarked and binding tight. No foxing, no tears or stains to pages. Not a ex-library, not remainder marked and not a facsimile copy. Dust Jacket condition: Near Fine / Very Good. With micro-chips to edge extremities, mild shelf wear and minor rubbing to covers and spine typical of vintage dust jackets of this age. Overall a excellent plus dust jacket, unclipped, sharp, very scarce in this superb condition. In red and black illustrated front cover art, publisher's history of the book on first inner flap, author's biblio on second inner flap, and reviews on the book on back cover dating to 1922. A.A. Milne's only mystery novel and creator of Winnie-the-Pooh, this early novel from the author was first published by Methuen & E.P. Dutton in 1922. Synopsis

Published during the Golden Age of the detective novel, it featured an amateur sleuth setting about to solve a mysterious murder during a party at an English country house.
