Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1888. 1888. VERY GOOD. Report of the Commissioner and expert specialists including the Entomologist, Botanist, Ornithologist and Mammalogist, Vegetable Pathologist and Micorscopist. Liberally illustrated with black and white plates as well as 20 chromolithographs and a large (20x 31") QUADRUPLE FOLDOUT MAP OF THE ROCKY MOUTAIN REGION showing location and extent of forest areas and irrigation ditches as of 1885. The map is in fine condition. Overall a Very Good copy, clean and securely bound. Penciled notations on the front endpaper, otherwise no writing, bookplates, stampings or other markings. Title page has been creased and the bottom edge of the book is bumped, with a light crease to the bottom of pages in the mid-section of the book. Covered in black cloth over boards, blind embossed and with gold spine stamping, now faded. Moderate edgewear and a light crease to the front board, but overall the cover is in exceptionally good condition. Binding is very good, hinges cracked but holding and no loose pages. 6 x 9". 724 pages plus plates, fold-out map (20 x 31").. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - ~6 x 9.
