Washington, 1828. Hardcover. Good. 20th Congress, 1st Session, Rep. No. 47. 136 p. 23 cm. 1 fold out table and 1 fold out showing drafts. Bound in blue cloth with marbled boards. Tan label with some white marks, perhaps liquid paper. Former owner's label attached to front endpaper. Small bookbinder's label (Swansong) on rear pastedown. Pages 25-66 have small holes at margin. Repaired tears in pp. 51-53, 83 Moderate foxing. The C&O Canal or "Grand Old Ditch" operated from 1831 until 1924 parallel to the Potomac River in Maryland.
