[2], vii-xvii, [1], 1-355, [1] pp. Green cloth with gilt lettering and a gilt decoration on the front board, gilt lettering on the spine. Illustrated with a frontispiece, several plates and in-text illustrations, a chart, and with a folding map in the rear pocket of the volume. Both hinges cracked and the binding shaken, lacks the endpapers and the half-title page. The first several leaves have a dampspot on their bottom margin.

Mounted to declare Canada's authority over the Arctic, the expedition was led by Albert Peter Low (1861-1942), a geologist with experience in the north, with a compliment of 43 including a detachment of North-West Mounted Police and several other scientists. Octavo: xvii, 355 p. with a frontispiece, 62 illustrations, and a color folding map (rear pocket). Original brown cloth binding, with gilt stamping. Period previous owner's ink signature to the front flyleaf. The upper seam of the rear pocket is split. Minor bumping to the corners and tips; otherwise very good.
