Tall octavo. 83pp. Contemporary (publisher's?) cloth stamped in blind and in gilt with the title, decorative eagle device, and the owner's name of Frederick Lennig. Ownership signature on front fly, and large ownership stamp on titlepage (each of Frederick's grandson, John Lion Gardiner Lennig) dated 1908, faint spot on front board, near fine. Frederick Lennig was a prominent Philadelphian, and the owner of the Tacony Chemical Works. An unusually bright and attractive cloth binding.

Testimony and proceedings in this trespassing trial concerning the Monroe county fishing club, the Pohoqualine Fish Association. Much is elicited in testimony concerning the club lands along McMichael's Creek, fishing habits and customs of members, and efforts to protect the stream from overfishing. During the testimony, the legailty of of the use of a landing net to catch trout was questioned by the defense. The second portion of the book concerns a case brought against the club president and another member for using a landing net while fishing with a light rod and a fly; the conviction was reversed.
Pp. 185-200 comprise citations from angling works from Berners and Walton and the Anglers Vade Mecum of 1700 to the 1890 edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
