The original boards have been retained. The book pages show age toning with volume 4 showing the most page darkening. All the volumes have moderate amounts of foxing. All the volumes have a name (written in pencil) on the title page - small , but visible. The bindings are polished calf. This is a very nice antiquarian set of books and a very valuable part of the history of the United States. Very reasonbaly priced for the edition's and the condition. . Hard Cover.
