Backstrip slightly mottled; spine cocked; wear to extremities; gift inscription and ownership inscription to front endpaper; some archival tape reinforcing to gutters. Fair to good. Important study of Weimar Germany, here in first edition form. Political and economic developments receive attention, and the tenures of Ebert, Stresemann, and Hindenburg are covered, up until when the Dawes Plan assisted German economic recovery. Hitler receives a brief mention as a leader in the Kapp Putsch. .
