The boards are darkened around the edges with soiling to the rear board. The spine is darkened with the head & tail chipped. Unnumbered pages, including a colophon, with a letter from the editors and an order form laid in. Black-and-white illustrations, including 4 plates & 12 full-page illustrations. The edges of some text pages are darkened. The rear joint is split and the spine is partially detached. The contents are very good. Featured in this issue is a plate depicting a previously unpublished drawing by Rockwell Kent of a barefoot dancing woman in a woodland setting, holding out the long strands of her hair. Small Press, Limited Edition of 1250 copies; this is number 1086. Printed on japon vellum with 'copper plate engraving by Stephen Godden.....design for loose cover is by Marion Dorn.' A very good hardcover first edition, first printing, (mostly unread with signatures uncut) with minor shelf wear, soiling to the cloth along lower margin where vellum dust jacket has shrunk from full coverage, light foxing to fore-edges and end papers, hinges and binding tight, paper lightly yellowed. In a fair, heavy vellum dust jacket with red title decoration that has shrunk by half an inch in size, and is now fragile, cracking at the folds with a chip missing at the bottom fore edge.
