London: Unwin Books, 1971 Soft Cover. 7 1/4 x 4 3/4. 111 pp. First pub in 1891. Edited and with wonderful introduction by Karl Marx's daughter, Eleanor Marx Aveling. Revolution and Counter Revolution is the famous chain of art icles or letters that Marx wrote for the new york Tribune between 1851 and 1852. Although Marx had onoly been in England some eighteen months and was living in conditions of miserable poverty and suff erings, these letters are among the most lucid and readable of his writings. The letters describe the "Revolutionary torrent" which flooded Europe in the mid-19th century, spread through Germany, Prus sia, Poland, France and England and culminated in the "bloody struggle" in Paris, June 1848.
