Reviews

On Apr 3 2020, a reader said:
Of the Three Mesquiteers, Tucson Smith, was the considered leader, and most of these novels deal primarily with him. In the movies, however, Stony Brooke takes charge, and gets most of the screen time--the reason primarily being John Wayne played the roll. In this novel, Tucson has to try and rescue a Mexican beauty who sends a desperate appeal for help as she has fallen into the hands of bandits....Written in 1934 this tale of near non stop action and suspense will hold your attention all the way through to the end. Few writers have captured the true authentic flavor of the Old West quite like William Colt Macdonald.
