Green cloth hardcover, titled in gilt on front cover; 116pp. Trace of rubbing on spine ends and board corners, else straight, clean and unmarked; Near Fine. Uncommon memoir by Woolsey (1879-1933), a major figure in the fields of forestry and conservation. With much on his early Forest Service career in the American West under Gifford Pinchot, also recollections of his service in the Army Corps of Engineers during WW1.
