Clover Hill Editions published by Chilmark Press, 1964. First Edition. Hardcover. VG+/fine. Printed by Will and Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lion, the first book in the Clover Hill Editions series. Copper illustrations by David Jones, printed damp. Set in 16 point Monotype Bembo and printed on Crisbook handmade paper by J. Barcham Green. Real gold gilded top edge, others uncut. Bound in Sundour green cloth by Mansell. Boards a little worn but no fraying (VG+). Contents fine. There is a series of neat glue spots on the back blank where a formal description of the book for the National Book League was pasted in (still present). Housed in a strong dark-blue cloth slipcase (not original to the book), fine.
