Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving with Fifty-Three (53) Illustrations by George H. Boughton MacMillan & Co. London, 1925. (originally appeared in the "Sketch-Book of Geoffrey Crayon" in the early 19th century.)

Size and Fine Binding: Octavo, 7.5"x5" (19x12.75 cm) Dark blue (almost black) morocco binding with edge tooling and ornaments on the spine and gold gilt the text block/page edges and marbled endpapers, bound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, London, one of the most revered bookbinders of the early 20th century.

Condition: Near Fine Pages in about Near Fine binding. Main shortcoming is rubbing to the edges of the boards and a little bit to the title labels. Interior pares are very clean and bright with just a hint of toning but minimal.
