London Citadel Press 1948.. 1st thus. Hardback. First published in book form Feb 1902. Small 7 x 5 inches. Green cloth with gilt title to spine. 12 illustrations by Helen Munro. Owners name to front pastedown. 140 pages. Very Good tight-bound volume. Margaret Fairless Barber ( 7.5.1869 - 24.8.1901) essayist who wrote under the name Michael Fairless. The ' Roadmender ' a book of reflective essays was partly dictated whilst on her death bed.
