Gilt faded on front board and spine, else a very good example. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Untermeyer on the front free endpaper: " For Roosevelt P. Walker, introducer par excellence. Louis Untermeyer. Athens April, 1926." Walker, who is buried in Athens, Georgia, probably introduced Untermeyer at a speaking event at the University of Georgia in April 1926, which would be the occasion for this lovely inscription. While Untermeyer signatures are not especially scarce, this volume seems to be uncommon signed.
