Volume 1: "Zambezia and Matabeleland in the Seventies: The Narrative of Frederick Hugh Barber 1875 and 1877-1878; The Journal of Richard Frewen 1877-1878". Edited: Edward C Tabler. 212 pages plus folded map. The dustjacket has a clear cellophane protective cover. The dj has wear, marks, scuffing. It is secure and comfortable. The boards are placid with some thin, light shelving marks to the top edges. They are steady, fit. The contents are most pleasing. They are very clean and clear, most carefully owned, generous. Volume 2: "Trade and Travel in Early Barotseland: The Diaries of George Westbeech 1885-1888 and Captain Norman MacLeod 1875-1876". Illustrated by Lieutenant William Fairlie. Edited by Edward C Tabler. Published 1963. 125 pages plus folded maps. Condition as with Volume 1. The dustjacket (covered with clear cellophane) has wear, marks all about but is secure. The boards are pleasing with just some light shelving wear to the edges. The contents are most pleasing. Very clean, clear, healthy - as if barely handled! Volume 3: "Magic, Divination and Witchcraft Among the Barotse of Northern Rhodesia", by Barrie Reynolds. Pub: 1963. 181 pages. The dustjacket has a clear cellophane protective cover. The dj has some rubbing, scuffing, marking, wear. It is comfortable and secure. The boards have some mild shelving marks and wear to the edges. They are mild-mannered. The contents are in immaculate condition. They are neat, smart, clean and clear - as if almost new throughout!
