Hardcover, no dustjacket, first printing if this unique edition, illustrated beige cloth, printed in black and red ink, decorative title page, beautiful color frontis illustration with the original protectice tissue-guard, this copy is clean and attractive with a tight binding and fine contents but does have the following minor flaws: a former owner has written "1900" in ink above the Roman Numeral date on the copyright page, a gift inscription is present on the first blank end-paper, the bottom front corner has a small area of edge-wear, and there is a very faint damp-mark that runs along the bottom margins of some of the pages, it does not detract much from the book's appearance .
