XV111/599pp with very large collection engraved illustrations by Grandville, Roberts, Stothard, folding panarama by G. Child and portraits of various animals including full-page hand-coloured illustration of a penguin. Many full-page illustrations, others set in text.The volume is decribed in gilt letters at foot of spine as being extra illustrated. Text begins with memoir of Defoe, then Preface and then the novel as continuous narrative. Some minor and light foxing, often on blank verso of plates, but in general remarkably clear of foxing. In general close to being a Fine binding. .
