Description:
New York: Gnome Press. New York, Gnome Press, 1952. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A very good copy. Lewis Padgett was the pseudonym for Henry Kuttner and C.L. Moore. Four of the five parts were previously published in Astounding in 1943 with the fifth part (published here as the fourth) appearing in 1948. Part of Kuttner's Gallegher stories. Some light surface wear to the jacket with some rubbing and a few short tears (one to the lower edge around 15mm). A few knocks here and there. Small tape mark to jacket reverse from an old protector, some surface scuffing here also. Collector's plate to the front pastedown, pasted on top of another collector's plate. The book's a bit dusty and the tips are a bit soft, but all in all a presentable copy. Cover art by Ric Binkley [10705, Hyraxia Books]. . Very Good. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1952.
