London: Macmillan and Co, 1883. 12mo. In two volumes. Later printing. 206pp. and 193pp. Originally published in 1875 as a serial in The Atlantic Monthly. The story about a young sculptor who is patroned by another young man, Rowland Mallet who invites him to live with him in Italy but instead, Roderick falls in love with a cynical young American, bound in blue cloth, boards double ruled in gilt, spine lettering gilt, light wear to spine ends and corners. A very nice set.
Synopsis
Roderick Hudson is a novel by Henry James. Originally published in 1875 as a serial in The Atlantic Monthly, it is a bildungsroman that traces the development of the title character, a sculptor.
