London: Hamish Hamilton, 1956 First edition. HB. Green cloth with silver titles, and pictorial dustjacket by Fritz Wegner. 328pp. With b&w photos in plates. A fresh look at the career of Roger Casement, his work exposing atrocities in the Congo and South America, and his support for Irish Nationalism in the First World War, which led to his execution by the British government for treason. Very Good in Very Good jacket, now in clear sleeve. Jacket clean and bright, but edges rubbed with creasing and tiny losses; price-clipped.
