Condition: Near Fine ~ VG+. Appears unread, micro-chips to extremities, half centimeter closed tear on lower left corner, cover has much of the original gloss, colors on spine and cover are punchy and vibrant, pages are clean and binding tight. Includes vintage newspaper clipping of review of the novel. Scarce hand signed inscription and signature by author Algis Budrys on the title page. This is one of the author's best known novels, a 1961 Hugo Awards nominee, about the discovery of a large alien artifact on the surface of the moon. This novel was praised by Carl Sagan, James Blish, Alfred Bester and many more authors of science fiction. Cover art by Richard Powers. Synopsis
Rogue Moon is a short science fiction novel by Algis Budrys, published in 1960. It was a 1961 Hugo Award nominee, losing to Walter M. Miller's A Canticle for Leibowitz. A novella-length version of the story was included in the anthology The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Volume Two, edited by Ben Bova. Rogue Moon is largely about the discovery and investigation of a large alien artifact found on the surface of the Moon.
