Probably originally published as a hardcover the front and rear boards remain as well as a very small part of the spine. The front panel is missing all of the covering while the rear has retained all of its vellum (soiled) covering, the spine is tattered but what is left has retained the vellum and just a little bit of the title. The paper is soft and has accepted soiling and dampstains, there are a number on mainly closed tears on the margins. We have not rebound this book, but left is as found only making a case to hold it. This volume may have been published in Frankfurt under the same imprint as the original two volumes which were published in 1588 version and was probably intended as a third volume of this work. There is a publisher's device depicting Pegasus with initials AW on title the title page. There are additional woodcut decorations through the text - mainly as chapter/part headings.
