Boards and pages are clean, unmarked (except for two prior owner's names on half-title page), brightly colored, tightly bound and sharp cornered (except for some light rubbing at board corners). Contains 284 pages of text followed by a 16-page F. V. White & Co.'s Catalogue of Publications. Includes six full-page illustrations (including frontispiece) by Alfred Pearse. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. Story was first serialized in the September 7, 1895 through December 21, 1895 issues of the UK magazine "Short Stories". : B&W Illustrations: 5.5 x 8 in.: 300 pages .
