The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam (ca.1950 Edition) : First and Fifth Versions

by (Omar Khayyam) Translated by Edward Fitzgerald

Condition: Good+

The classical epic poem by Persian astrologer, Omar Khayyam, translated in prose by Edward Fitzgerald and graced with the stunning, sometimes shocking, always delightful exquisite illustrations of Edmund J. Sullivan. Yeah, I'm impressed.

The copy is in GOOD, condition, with mild wear and fading "firm" cover boards. Inside there are but a few blemishes aside from expected toning of the inside pages. On the inside front paper, there is the remnant of some adhesive identification label that has been partially peeled off.

A truly enjoyable book.
