(London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1933). Demy 8vo; original blue cloth; no dustwrapper; pp. 254; frontis. portrait. Cloth irregularly sunned and a bit worn at extremities; fore-corners a little turned; spine somewhat cocked; archival tape strengthening to hinges; sporadic foxing. Fair to good. Uncommon. (Czech [2011], p. 179) 'Makepeace, a journalist, recorded the experiences of "Safari Sam" during a long interview. Sam evidently spent much time in the Northern Rhodesian brush country and relates incidents of encounters with rhinoceros, lion, leopard and crocodile, as well as conversation with a veteran elephant hunter. The frontispiece and plates reveal a bright-eyed Sam in various poses." - Kenneth Czech: An Annotated Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books 1785-1999 .
