Overall light foxing, dampstain in upper left margin just affecting image area, a few marks at right of image. This is a charming bird's eye view of what was then a small frontier town on the banks of the Mississippi River. Plate I from the Report of the United States Pacific Railroad Expedition and Surveys (USPRR) - 47th and 49th Parallels. Lithographed by Sarony, Major & Knapp. These views from the Pacific Railroad survey were printed in 2 or 3 colors and most have a small pinhole at center of the lower border for registration of the colors. .
