An early edition, not dated; but 1886 date is with dedication. In quite good dark tan cloth boards, with green and brown decorative bands on top and tail edges, gilt and green titles to front. The covers are loose ( mostly to front) from cracked hinge; corners and spine ends bumped and frayed. Fairly clean brown end papers, with dedication on front free end paper; centre of front end papers are split and show spine webbing. Age toned cut edges. The text block is in good plus condition; firm and not tanned, with a few marks. Attractive headers and frontispiece.
