Illustrated with a tipped in frontispiece protrait of the author. First Edition/First Printing. Slipcased in the publisher's dark red paper slipcase, extremities worn with some fading and dampstaining, Issued in publisher's stiff paper wrappers printed in black and red, spine lightly worn; fore edge untrimmed. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks, binding tight and solid. Including five poems, "The Faun," "Dying Gladiator," "Portrait," "The Lilacs" and "L'Apres-Midi dun Faune," and three pieces of prose, "New Orleans," "On Criticism" and "Verse Old and Nascent: A Pilgrimage," by William Faulkner, all previously printed in New Orleans magazine "The Double Dealer." With a short poem by Ernest Hemingway printed on the rear wrapper. A lovely fine press edition and the first appearance of its contents in book form. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
