New York: Anglers' Club of New York, 1950 Green tweed cloth over boards with paper label on spine and pastedown on cover. No writing or damage. Slipcase is in Very Good Minus condition, having a small paper loss at the top of the spine. Two hand-coloured plates of flies after water-colors by Edgar Burke, MD with tissue guards. Decorative initials at beginnings of chapters by John Atherton. The book was privately printed in Letterpress style on specially-made paper in the Waverley types by Peter Beilenson, Mount Vernon, N.Y. All but one of the chapters in the book originally appeared in the Anglers' Club Bulletin. The author's aim was to try to get other members, particularly the trout fishermen, interested in fishing for salmon in the latter part of the season.
